Some may find it hard to believe, I certainly do but apparently I am interesting
A few months back I received an email with an invitation to speak at the Picton Rotary club. For people who know me you know I hate public speaking, I can still remember getting so stressed in grade school when it was the time of year that we all had to write and read a speach infront of the class or good forbid the entire school, but as I have gotten older and have had lots of opportunity to speak to groups of all sizes and ages during tours here at the ranch that I’m pretty sure I will be OK. So Tuesday January 18th is the big day, stay tuned.
We all know that February is the month of love, well this year I am participating as a Fibre Artist at the studio of a dear friend and fellow county artist of mine Brandy Gale (www.brandygale.com) I will be debuting my Nuno Scarves/Wraps all one of a kind handmade with chiffon, silk, alpaca & mohair fibres. The open house stands to be a great event with other local artist like Kyley Zimmerman and her natural aroma therapy lines as well as fellow fibre artist Lesley Snyder, some may know Lesley from The Galloping Goat in Milford or her Art Club programs throughout the schools in the county. So come on by as you are sure to find something for the loved one in your life February 5 & 6 at Single Malt Cove Studio located at 1288 Rednersville Road.
Holiday’s are over, most of the decorations have gone back into storage and 2010 has been put into memory mode. It is the start of a new year, beginings and memories. So many things are going on this year at Seventh Town. Our first event this year will be the County Maple Festival “Maple in the County” which is celebrating its 10th aniversary, we are very excited to be part of the event again this year. March also marks the begining of the PEC 4-H Alpaca Club and we as well as the group members are very excited about this new partnership. We have a few other events planned this year, a Natural Fibre Festival in May, Canada Day Celebrations and our annual Open Farm Days in Spetember this year the weekend will be filled with demonstrations and our 4H achievment event which will invlove education, leading, agility, fibre judging.
To start the year out right I am posting some pictures that were taken this morning at feeding time. We as well as all of our alpaca’s wish you the happiest of New years.
With only 14 days before Christmas, we wanted to help everyone finish off their last minute shopping, and/or for those hard to buy for folks on your list – try some unique and warm alpaca wear!
Our help? We’re offering 20% off all products the two weekends before Christmas [Dec 11-12 & Dec 18-19] in the ranch store, and online 7/24 until December 23! Everything is 20% off [except gift certificates] and remember there’s no HST, so that’s a 33% savings!
Online we are unable to create the sale prices [without changing all the prices manually, bah humbug] but no fear, we will cheerfully refund 20% of the purchase price via Paypal.
We can’t guarantee Canada Post will get it to you in time for Christmas [depending where you are], but rest assured if we receive your order before 3:00 pm we’ll get it to the post office same day! And if you’re local there’s always free pickup, and until Dec 20 we’ll even deliver your purchases within The County!
Ho ho ho!
