Why Alpaca?

Below are a handful of reasons to ‘go alpaca‘:

  1. Soft:  Right up there with the other luxury natural fibers – mohair, cashmere, silk, …
  2. Warm: One (if not THE) warmest natural fibers known. 7x warmer than sheep’s wool.
  3. Lightweight: Alpaca fiber is hollow making it much lighter than other natural fibers.
  4. Hypoallergenic: Can’t wear sheep’s wool? No lanolin or guard hairs in alpaca fiber so no itchy rash reactions with alpaca! [Ask Kevin]
  5. Strong: High tensile strength gives alpaca garments longevity.
  6. Natural:  20+ natural colours available without use of dyes!
